Feed delivery: URL vs SFTP

Trajekt delivers feeds two ways. Most channels read a hosted feed URL you paste into their dashboard; some, like ChatGPT Shopping, require the file to be pushed to them over SFTP.

Feed URL (pull)

Trajekt hosts your generated feed at a stable URL. You paste that URL into the channel once, and the channel fetches it on its own schedule. This is how Google, Meta, Microsoft, Pinterest and most channels work. The URL doesn't change, so you set it once.

SFTP (push)

Some channels — notably ChatGPT Shopping — require the feed to be delivered to their server. Trajekt pushes the file to the SFTP destination on every run, using a stable filename so the channel always reads the latest version. You provide the SFTP host and credentials the channel gives you.

Which do I use?

The channel decides. Each channel setup guide tells you whether it's a URL or SFTP, and exactly where the details go.
