🛠️ Troubleshooting & data quality
Products dropping out or zero products
If a run converts far fewer products than your catalogue holds — or shows zero — the cause is almost always a filter, a source-read problem, or a mapping issue. Here's how to pin it down.
Start with the run log
Compare products read with products converted. If read is already low or zero, it's a source problem. If read is fine but converted is low, it's a filter or rule.
Zero products read
- Credential expired or wrong — re-check the API token.
- Wrong source URL — for Shopify use your
.myshopify.comdomain; for a file source, confirm the URL loads and returns data. - The source returned an unexpected format — e.g. an error page instead of the file.
Products read but dropping out
- A filter is too broad — e.g. excluding out-of-stock when stock isn't being read correctly.
- A required field is empty, so products fail validation — check the warnings.
- A rule earlier in the order is changing a value a filter then catches.
Fix and confirm
Adjust the suspect rule, re-run, and watch the converted count recover. Change one thing at a time so you know what fixed it.
