🧩 Rules & optimisation
Filter and exclude products
Not every product belongs in every feed. Filter rules let you exclude products that would waste spend or breach a channel's rules — out-of-stock lines, items below a price threshold, or specific categories.
Common filters
- Out of stock — exclude anything with zero available stock.
- Low price — drop products under a threshold where the margin can't cover a click.
- Zero margin — exclude loss leaders you don't want to advertise.
- Restricted categories — remove items a channel doesn't allow.
- Missing data — exclude products without an image or GTIN so they don't get disapproved.
Include vs exclude
You can build filters either way — keep only products that match a condition, or remove products that match. Use whichever is simpler for the result you want. Combine conditions with AND/OR for precise control.
A word of caution
Filters reduce your catalogue, so check the product count after a run. If a filter removes far more than expected, review the condition — a common cause is a stock or price field not being read the way you assumed.
