Fixing product image issues

Images are a common source of disapprovals. Channels want a clear, high-resolution shot of the product on a plain background, reachable at a stable URL.

Broken or unreachable image URLs

If an image URL doesn't load, the channel rejects the product. Make sure the feed points at your live, public image URLs — not a staging or password-protected location. If your platform serves images through a CDN, use that URL.

Low resolution

Channels have minimum image sizes. Very small thumbnails get disapproved. Feed the full-size image URL rather than a resized thumbnail your source might default to.

Promotional overlays

Text, watermarks, logos or 'SALE' badges burned into the image break Google's rules. Use clean product shots for the feed; keep promotional imagery for your site and social.

Missing images

Products with no image can't be advertised. Either filter them out so they don't cause disapprovals, or add an image at source. Some sources hold extra images in a gallery field you can map as a fallback.
